Description

Natural Intestinal Detox Formula

Reset Intestino is Salugea supplement with 100% natural ingredients, designed for colon and intestinal "cleansing" to promote intestinal well-being through a "detox effect."

Its formula is specifically developed to positively modulate the composition of the gut microbiota, encouraging the growth of "good" microorganisms while reducing the presence of "bad" ones. Additionally, it supports the optimal digestion of all nutrients. *

These actions are particularly beneficial in case of intestinal discomfort caused by factors such as imbalances in gut flora (microbiota), overeating, alcohol consumption, use of antibiotics, and intense stress.

This formula is also especially recommended for "preparing the ground" before probiotic supplementation, as it helps reduce the presence of pathogenic or potentially pathogenic bacteria. By doing so, it minimises their competition against probiotics within the intestinal environment.

How does it work? Imagine your intestine as a garden. If the soil is dry or overrun with weeds, plants cannot grow healthy and strong.

In the same way, your intestinal microbiota - the community of billions of bacteria that inhabit your gut and regulate digestion, immunity, and overall well-being - needs a balanced environment to function at its best.

Bloating, slow digestion, foul-smelling stools—do these sound familiar? If the answer is yes, your gut might need a “reset”!

Supplements for intestinal dysbiosis play a key role in this process. However, before introducing new friendly bacteria (probiotics), it’s essential to cleanse the terrain. Just like in an overgrown garden - before planting new seeds, you first remove invasive weeds to restore the soil optimal conditions.

Here’s what Reset Intestino can do for you: it prepares your gut to host a balanced and efficient bacterial flora!

What will you find inside Reset Intestino by Salugea?

In the formula of this intestinal “detox” supplement, you'll find an innovative combination of essential oils such as Fennel, Ginger, and Lavender, alongside Psyllium seeds and Bamboo shoots - all plants that are allies of intestinal well-being.

Additionally, to complete the synergy of this formula, we have included Pineapple and a registered ingredient made of plant-based digestive enzymes, which are useful for breaking down protein and fibre buildups in the intestine that can cause putrefaction and fermentation. *

The formula is enclosed in acid-resistant capsules, which remain intact during their passage through the acidic environment of the stomach and release the ingredients directly into the intestine.

Reset Intestino contains no synthetic colourings, preservatives, or sweeteners. Like all Salugea supplements, it is 100% natural and stored in pharmaceutical-grade brown glass containers (no plastic or blister packs).

*You can find all the studies in the section titled "Experimental Phytotherapy."

How does Reset Intestino, the "detox" supplement for the intestine, work?

The secret of Reset Intestino lies in its formulation (completely natural), where all the ingredients work in synergy to promote intestinal well-being, by "cleansing" the intestines and particularly by supporting the balance of the gut microbiota.

Psyllium seeds for regular bowel movement and emollient and soothing action on the digestive system, with a prebiotic effect.

How valuable are Psyllium seeds for our intestine! Thanks to their fibres, they perform a multitude of beneficial activities: they support regular bowel movements, promote normal stool volume and consistency, have an emollient and soothing action, and also have a prebiotic effect - meaning that they promote the growth of "good" bacteria within the microbiota.

Several studies have highlighted its positive effect on the microbiota* and its anti-inflammatory action*.

Bamboo shoots: digestive function and elimination of intestinal gas.

In addition to promoting digestion and the elimination of intestinal gas, Bamboo shoots are known for their high Silica content. This mineral is essential for Collagen synthesis. Collagen is a substance that has a reparative action on skin and mucosal lesions, such as those in the intestines*.

Studies on this plant have also highlighted its protective effect against intestinal inflammation due to the modulation of the intestinal microbiota*.

Fennel essential oil: digestive function, regular gastrointestinal motility, and elimination of gas.

Fennel essential oil is known to have numerous properties for the well-being of the digestive tract. Thaks to its carminative action, which alleviates spasms and eliminates accumulated air in the intestines, it is useful for alleviating abdominal pain*.

Additionally, this essential oil boasts a high concentration of trans-anethole, a substance that has shown anti-inflammatory properties by remodelling the intestinal bacterial flora*.

Lavender essential oil: antibacterial action* and support for relaxation, mood balance, digestion, and elimination of gas.

Lavender essential oil is well known for its relaxing properties and mood support, but it is also an excellent natural remedy for gastrointestinal well-being.

Since gut and brain communicate and influence each other (it is called the "gut-brain axis"), these benefits may be connected, as lavender has also shown potential in treating intestinal dysbiosis, which, in turn, can impact mental well-being*.

Scientific research has shown that lavender plays an important antimicrobial role, positively affecting the microbiota*.

Additionally, this ingredient seems to have the ability to soothe the intestinal mucosa from damage caused by inflammation*.

Ginger essential oil: digestive function and anti-nausea.

Known for its digestive properties and as a remedy for nausea, Ginger essential oil has an antimicrobial action* against pathogenic bacteria and fungi, such as Escherichia coli and Candida albicans, which can colonize the intestines and lead to an imbalance.

Pineapple for intestinal "cleanse."

Pineapple is a plant we well known for its sweet and juicy fruit. However, for our well-being, it’s the stem that deserves attention, as it is rich in bromelain.

Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme, which means it breaks down proteins. This activity helps "cleanse" the intestines of stagnant proteins*, preventing them from undergoing putrefaction.

Additionally, bromelain can be used to treat various inflammatory discomforts, including those affecting the intestines*.

Registered digestive enzyme complex

Reset Intestino also contains a registered ingredient made from a blend of 100% natural digestive enzymes, extracted from fermented plant substrates (hemicellulases, beta-glucanases, phytase, and cellulase).

This complex is specifically designed to break down dietary fibres that can accumulate in the digestive system, causing fermentation, which in turn leads to gas production and bloating.

SCIENTIFIC INSIGHTS

What does our intestinal well-being depend on?

Our intestinal well-being depends on the efficiency of various natural barriers that keep inflammatory conditions at bay, among these:

  • the intestinal microbiota, keeping the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms under control, and
  • the epithelial layer of the intestinal mucosa, a tissue that creates a true physical barrier thanks to its cohesive and homogeneous structure.

If the microbiota is in balance and the structure of the epithelium remains intact, our intestine stays healthy and functions at its best, carrying out all of its tasks, from digestion to immune defenses.

However, certain factors can affect the proper functioning of these barriers.

What weakens the barriers that protect the intestine?

There are several reasons why the barriers in our digestive system may weaken:

  • dysbiosis of the intestinal microbiota,
  • unbalanced diet, with frequent consumption of refined foods and preservatives,
  • overeating,
  • psychological stress,
  • enzyme deficiencies,
  • excessive alcohol consumption,
  • prolonged use of medications such as antibiotics and laxatives,
  • weakened immune defenses.

The imbalance caused by one or more of these factors can lead to various intestinal issues, such as poor digestion, bloating, gas production, and constipation

The likelihood of these disturbances becoming chronic is high, especially when the imbalance and its cause fuel each other, thus creating a cycle that is difficult to break without the right intervention.

Consider, for example, dysbiosis of the intestinal microbiota: if this is the cause of the imbalance, the imbalance itself will, in turn, worsen the dysbiosis which further disrupts the intestine, and so on…

That is why Reset Intestino Salugea was developed. Thanks to the antimicrobial, soothing, and regenerative actions of its ingredients, the intestine recovers its physiological functions, and the protective barriers are restored.

Below, will you find scientific studies confirming the effects of the various components of Reset Intestino.

Experimental Phytotherapy

Psyllium

  • Jalanka J, Major G, Murray K, Singh G, Nowak A, Kurtz C, Silos-Santiago I, Johnston JM, de Vos WM, Spiller R. The Effect of Psyllium Husk on Intestinal Microbiota in Constipated Patients and Healthy Controls. Int J Mol Sci. 2019 Jan 20;20(2):433. doi: 10.3390/ijms20020433. PMID: 30669509; PMCID: PMC6358997.

This double-blind, randomised clinical study investigated the effect of psyllium on the gut microbiota in 16 patients with constipation and 8 healthy volunteers. Each group was given either psyllium or a placebo for 7 days. The results showed that psyllium supplementation increased water content in stools (a beneficial effect for constipation) and had a positive influence on the microbial composition of healthy individuals. The effect was even more significant in constipated subjects, where an increase in organisms associated with the intestinal production of short-chain fatty acids (beneficial substances for colon health) and a decrease in bacteria linked to hard stools was observed. In conclusion, the study suggests that psyllium consumption induces beneficial intestinal changes while also providing relief from constipation.

In this study on mice with ulcerative colitis, the effects of bamboo extract on intestinal inflammation were analysed. The intake of the extract successfully reduced inflammation, increasing the levels of beneficial bacteria in the intestinal microbiota and modifying the metabolite profile. These changes are believed to influence the function of certain immune cells and reduce the production of pro-inflammatory agents, thereby helping protect the intestine and improving the immune response against colitis.

    Fennel

    • Alexandrovich I, Rakovitskaya O, Kolmo E, Sidorova T, Shushunov S. The effect of fennel (Foeniculum Vulgare) seed oil emulsion in infantile colic: a randomized, placebo-controlled study. Altern Ther Health Med. 2003 Jul-Aug;9(4):58-61. PMID: 12868253.

This clinical study evaluated the effectiveness of an emulsion containing fennel essential oil in the treatment of infant colic. A total of 125 newborns, aged between 2 and 12 weeks, participated. To measure the effects, Wessel’s criteria were used, which consider the frequency and duration of crying. At the end of the study, the treatment led to the disappearance of colic in 65% of the treated infants, compared to 23.7% in the untreated group. The improvement was statistically significant, and no side effects were reported.

  • This study on mice analysed the effects of trans-anethole, the main component of fennel, on ulcerative colitis. To observe its effect on colon tissue, several parameters were evaluated, including the expression of intestinal barrier proteins, cell survival, inflammation levels, blood bile acid and lipid content, and changes in the intestinal microbiota. In just two applications, a week apart, trans-anethole significantly alleviated ulcerative lesions, increased the presence of intestinal barrier proteins, reduced inflammatory factors in the colon and blood, enhanced cell vitality, and lowered blood levels of bile acids and lipids. At the microbiota level, it restored the predominance of Firmicutes - generally associated with well-being - over Bacteroidetes.

    Ginger

    • Dos Santos EAR, Tadielo LE, Schmiedt JA, Possebon FS, Pereira MO, Pereira JG, Dos Santos Bersot L. Effect of ginger essential oil and 6-gingerol on a multispecies biofilm of Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella Typhimurium, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Braz J Microbiol. 2023 Dec;54(4):3041-3049. doi: 10.1007/s42770-023-01075-2. Epub 2023 Sep 5. PMID: 37668830; PMCID: PMC10689688.

This study analysed the effect of ginger essential oil on the growth of three bacteria harmful to humans: Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella Typhimurium, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The results showed that ginger essential oil, even at low concentrations, can hinder the formation of biofilm, a protective shield that bacteria create to defend themselves. Without this protection, bacteria become more vulnerable.
