I was born in 2012 out of the mind and, above all, the heart of my dad Marco De Gregorio, who is more convinced every day that living well and in good health is a fundamental value.

The spark for my dad Marco was discovering that most of the food supplements he was taking, or had taken in the past when he competed at sport (he played Tennis for many years), were largely “fluff”.

What is “fluff”?

Well, fluff is a quick way of saying “all sizzle and no steak”. Marco had basically realised, partly thanks to a biologist friend of his, that for years he had actually been taking food supplements made up mainly of sugars (in case you didn’t know, sugar is the main food that feeds tumour cells), or plants processed in the worst possible way!

Quite a bitter pill to swallow, don’t you think?

From all these thoughts, and after working out how much money he had literally thrown away, my dad Marco decided to begin this wonderful adventure and that is how I was born :)

And it was not a leap in the dark at all, quite the opposite! My dad Marco, a genuinely tough character, does things properly when he does them, and so he put together the best possible team to bring every Salugea product to life.

His wish (more than fulfilled) was to offer people only natural food supplements made to the highest quality standards, with care for the formulations and for the environment.

Salugea food supplements had to embody his values in life: passion, professionalism and respect for our wonderful planet.

“What an ambitious project”, you will say. And my dad Marco knew he had set the bar very high. That is why (I did tell you he is a tough one) he decided to bring in Dr Censani, one of the finest formulators in Italy, and together they created the Salugea food supplement lines.

And so came the food supplements in capsules, the liquids, the superfruits... All of us are madly in love with our products! We study them, design them and pamper them at every stage.
