Wrinkles and skin procollagen
A double-blind, placebo-controlled study3, conducted on 114 women aged between 45 and 65, showed that 2.5 g a day of VERISOL® for 8 weeks reduced the depth of wrinkles around the eyes by up to 20%. In addition, a significant increase in the production of procollagen (+65%) and elastin (+18%) in the dermal matrix was observed.

Skin elasticity
In another study4 on 69 women aged between 35 and 55, 2.5 g a day of VERISOL® led to greater skin elasticity than treatment with placebo, as early as after 4 weeks. The effects consolidated after 8 weeks, showing greater skin elasticity than in the placebo group (+10% on average), more marked in women over 50 (up to +20%). The benefits were maintained even 4 weeks after stopping. An interesting aspect is that no significant improvement was seen with the use of 5 g a day of VERISOL® at any of the time points, suggesting that supplementation with 2.50 g a day of this collagen was sufficient.

The appearance of cellulite
A trial5 on 105 women aged between 24 and 50 showed an effect on the appearance of cellulite after 6 months of supplementation with 2.5 g a day of VERISOL®. Taking the patented collagen significantly reduced cellulite scores in the pinch test both in women with a BMI <25 (approx. -15%) and in those with a BMI >25 (approx. -10%). The study also showed an increase in dermal density, assessed by ultrasound, reporting higher values of elastin and collagen.

Hair thickness
In a randomised, placebo-controlled study6, conducted on 44 women aged between 39 and 75, taking 2.5 g a day of VERISOL® for 16 weeks increased hair thickness by +3%, also showing a +31% increase in cell proliferation in vitro in the hair follicles.
